One broke and was caught by the chain catcher and clutch cover and the other shot straight off the nose of the bar about 20 feet. The chains were new (only 1-2 sharpenings) and were improperly spun at a dealer.I muffler modded my new CS-4910 before it even saw wood for the first time. Two screws to remove the deflector and spark arrestor screen and pulled the baffle tube out of the muffler. I also removed the stock exhaust deflector and replaced it with the one from a Shindaiwa 400 (Echo/Shindaiwa part # A313001460).Dec 18, 2017. #4. Use Archer chains. My experience was on a 16" bar 3hp saw worked great. Not as hard as a Stihl chain but trade off is easy sharpening. On a 24" bar with a 4+hp saw they don't hold up real well in the tough cutting.
