The 630's have the same bore as a husky 61 (48mm) and they do interchange. Same basic crankcase with minor differences depending on the year they were made. The 630's are closed port cylinders while 90% of the 61's are open ports. 630's are a major plus for making more power 4.3 hp stock.It's about $9.00 / gal. It works great in moderate temps. If it gets below about 30F , cut it with a little 20w hyd oil to keep it flowing well. IMHO, there is no need to spend the big bucks on STIHL winter grade bar / chain oil or equiv.ArboristSite Guru. They made mostly Pro saws in that period, but some Semi-Pro versions were made. About the same was the case with Jonsereds, from 1954 until 1979, and Husqvarna from 1959, until 1978 (or a bit earlier).It has been dead reliable and works great with a 16-18" bar. The 645 is Solo's "mid level" saw. It is a way better saw than the normal box store junk, but not quite on par with the pro saws from stihl/husky. What I have is 100' of .325 x .063 in semi chisel non safety style. I spun up an 18" loop and made about 100 cuts on stuff that averaged about 5". I was pleased with how it cut. Generally laminated bars are cheaper than solid bars. Laminated bars are multiple (3) plys of metal that are brought together. The inner ply is smaller and so the rails are created. Pop the choke back after a few pulls... Most Stihls will flood if you leave the lever on full choke for more than 3 or 4 pulls.
