We used pieces of old wasp nest (very good), news paper and even cotton balls. The trick was to pull the cotton balls apart a little bit so that they didn't fly very far. Lubed with a loose beeswax and tallow/olive oil lube they worked well.With conicals, You can go a bit slower than 1:48 and still stabilize some longer bullets. The rear hi vis green are ok but the front red is no better than the old iron sight. The Walker is awesome for its size and the history around it, but that size is exactly what eventually makes it just turn into a PITA to shoot.
